This moment has been a long time coming. I've loved photography for as long as I can remember. I worked a few years at both Ritz Camera and The Picture People. I've been involved in weddings and events since high school when I worked in catering for a while and also was a video assistant. Eventually I started working with Elite Entertainment as a music mixer (DJ assistant) and finally landed a job as the office assistant. My passion for photography never waned and finally in 2009 Elite Digital Images was created. For 15 years I got to photograph over 500 weddings, plus engagements and other events. I loved it! (Still love it!)
I love it so much I frequently took 2-3 events a weekend (I've even had 4 in a row!) That's a lot for a photographer that covers 10+ hour events then still has to go home to back up, recharge, edit and do all the other things that need to get done when the event is over. Plus that office job.
I appreciate the time I had at Elite as it gave me the chance to learn and grow as a photographer. This new adventure will give me the additional time and space I need to further that growth and allow me to continue to build on my knowledge of creating gorgeous images. There are always new techniques to learn and new technology to work with to enhance the photos as well as elevate the whole experience for my clients.
I finally realized I had to make a decision that would allow me to continue to do what I love most, photograph people in all their special moments, and help to guide them before and after those events to create lasting memories. I wanted more control of my schedule and my ability to work one on one with all of my clients, so Lynn Monaco Photography is here to do just that!
My wedding schedule is almost full for 2024 while I complete the events I've already scheduled with Elite, but I do have some open dates still. I'm also looking forward to taking on more couples and family sessions once the weather warms up. Let's do this!
